Accessibility Statement
We want this publication to be usable by as many people as possible.
Section 01
Standards
We work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. This includes readable colour contrast, keyboard navigation, meaningful heading structure, descriptive link text and text alternatives for images.
Accessibility is checked when we change layout or typography rather than only when a problem is reported, because most barriers are introduced by a redesign rather than by content.
Section 03
Text and readability
Body text is set at a comfortable size with generous line height and a measured line length, and it reflows without loss of content when you zoom to 200 percent or use a narrow window.
We use real text rather than images of text, so your own font size and contrast settings continue to work.
Section 04
Images and motion
Photography carries descriptive alternative text written by a person, and decorative images are marked so screen readers skip them. Where an image carries information the prose does not, we repeat it in the caption.
We avoid animation that starts on its own, auto-playing media and content that shifts while you are reading.
Section 05
Known limitations
Some photography carries descriptive alternative text that summarises the subject rather than every detail. Third-party embedded tools may not meet the same standard as pages we control.
Where we know of a gap, we prioritise the pages readers use most: guides, category pages and the legal documents.
Section 06
Reporting a barrier
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you were using. Reports of this kind are treated as defects with a fix date rather than as suggestions.
If you cannot reach information you need, we will provide it in another format on request. We aim to respond within ten working days. Tourisme Ploërmel LLC, 2064 Sam Rittenberg Blvd, Charleston, SC 29407, US. Telephone +1 843-556-2063.
This page is reviewed periodically. Where a section changes materially, the revised wording replaces the previous version on publication.
Ploërmel is the name. The world is the destination.
